We understand that sometimes things don't go according to plan and that you may need to return your purchase. We want to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible, which is why we've put together this page to explain our returns and refunds policy.

Our Returns and Refunds Policy outlines the steps you need to take if you need to return an item and the conditions under which we will issue a refund.

Returns Policy

Under European law, you have the right to return an item within 14 days of receipt if you're not completely satisfied with your purchase. To return an item, please follow the steps below:

  1. Contact us via email or phone to let us know that you'd like to return your purchase.

  2. Repack the item(s) in their original packaging, including any tags and labels, and ensure that they're in a resalable condition.

  3. Send the item(s) back to us, along with a copy of your original order confirmation and a brief note explaining the reason for your return.

  4. We'll process your return as soon as possible and will either exchange the item or issue a refund, whichever you prefer.

  5. Items can't be returned or exchanged - Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

    • Custom or personalised orders (e.g. Name necklaces, engraved jewellery pieces)
    • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons). For hygiene reasons, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on earrings (except the clip-on earrings) unless faulty.
    • Items on sale
    • Gift cards

Refunds Policy

If you've received a damaged or defective item, or if the item you received is not what you ordered, we'll be happy to offer a full refund or exchange. 

If you're returning an item for any other reason, such as a change of mind, we'll be happy to offer a refund or exchange, subject to the item being in its original condition and packaging.

Please note that in the case of a refund, the cost of return shipping will not be covered by Magpie Gems.


  1. Once we receive your return, we'll inspect the item to ensure it meets our return criteria
  2. If the item is eligible for a refund, we'll process the refund within 7 business days
  3. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  4. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement



  • No products should be sent back without prior consent. If you sent back any item without our prior consent, no refunds will be issued.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable. We regret that we are unable to refund duties, taxes, or any shipping charges.
  • Sale items are non-refundable but can be exchanged for another item or store credit.
